Love the game... however,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth (App)
I have been playing this game for over 8 months now on my ipod, I purchased the Kindle knowing that the game was available to download. However on installing the game I have noticed that the version available here is maybe two or three updates behind my apple device, this may not sound like much, but so much has been done in these last updates. If you dont mind losing troops, i.e. tier 5 troops, as you can win them but cant use or play with them as they are only available on the newest update, but you are able to participate in winning them and buying the chests with the troops in!!!
I also tried to upload my 8 month old game through my log in details with Kabam and although it loaded, i suddenly lost all my troops and other artifacts, the game then crashed and I could not access either a new game or my old game, although Amazon tech squad were so helpful it was finally agreed that this was not a problem with the Kindle but with the developers.
On contacting Kabam their only statement was that 'the game was not made for the Kindle and will be unstable if you try to play on the kindle as it is not a true android device' ... then why let it be available to download and in app purchases. I have been able to reinstall it on my ipod and all troops etc are reinstated, so in conclusion, if you dont mind playing an older version where you will be at a disadvantage to anyone playing on an android/apple device the game is a good one. Hope this helps with your decision. The same applies to Kingdoms of Camelot.

I agree. It's a great game but I wouldn't play it on a Kindle Fire. The current v9 won't update earlier installed versions. The game gets stuck in a loop saying you have to upgrade which takes you to the app store. But the app store takes you to the game. Which tells you to upgrade. Which takes you to the app store...! It's iOS first and Kindles are an after thought ( if you're lucky).
