Although this book is in French the pictures and illustrations are very self explanatory and much of the French seems familiar to me....when in fact it's not borrowed from the English. It's clear that we are currently realising that these Peugeots were in fact the leading edge cars of their period and this book shows that only too clearly. From the adaptability of the vehicles to the sheer range it's all covered and an enthralling read. I can't believe it won't be translated into English some day soon but even if you have no feel for the language it's still a great biography of the car the period and indeed how the car and utility variants were adapted to run under wartime conditions when petrol was not available to the ordinary French man! The headlights behind the radiator grill are as original as the wedge shape lights that the DS Citroen acquired in its day...
