Not my bag....,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Places Of Worship (Audio CD)
New Age nebulosity with trumpet which regrettably doesn't quite work for me.... 'Officium', for example, this is not. Sorry if this makes me sound like a jazz snob; it's just that I know what I like when I hear it (with an open mind of course).

An informative review describes the music rather than your own personal tastes.

And it was on the basis of the other informative reviews that I bought this. I was disappointed and felt it might be helpful to some to say why. The term 'New Age nebulosity' is not meant to be derogatory....it's just how I hear it. How else can a rating system be valid if a dissenting individual is not able to express his opinion? Hopefully we don't have to discuss this ad infinitum. All the best, N

Actually, Nomad's review is within Amazon guidelines, which encourage reviewers to state why they dis/like a product and to draw illuminating comparisons, both of which he does. Nor am I convinced of the benefits of describing music, particularly when short samples are available. As it happens, I rather like the "nebulosity" of this music - each to their own!
