Camera fine Sound awful,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Chilli Technology Action 3 VGA Head Cam - Black (Sports)
The camera seems to work fine was using it in lowish light and was not too bad (was only testing it out in the house) The sound on playback was horrific it was some weird noise disturbance and there was no sound(background noise) when I recorded. I have uploaded a video the video is boring but just demonstrates the noise the room is really dark so video quality is not great but that is not the cameras fault but just make sure to listen to the noise if that is important to you.
Apart from the noise it seems to be a neat piece of kit for the price, considering you get a bike mount and a helmet mount. I tried using two different memory cards sound was still the same.

HI, thanks for the review. How did you get rid of the date & time stamp on the video?

If you look in the manual it explains how to set up time and I dont have mine to hand to explain but you have to create a .txt file use notepad or similar and when saving add this at the end and it should be saved as 'time.txt' and saved onto the memory card and i think for it to work dont save the file in a folder just have it come up straight in the memory card. but when setting the time etc im sure you add N instead of Y.

Playback noise with mini vid cameras can vary greatly depending what software you use.
eg movie maker from microsoft caused 'white noise' when I used it to create a movie using a samsung vid camera.
Try other software preferably that which comes with the product.

I hope you sent it back cos there are far better for less money even with your poor lighting.
Just one thing I have considered using these items before and would like to know about noise from wind. I have thought about just using a foam cover bit like a shotgun microphone wind cover with it's closed end cut off.
