Good & Bad,
This review is from: Iomega eGo III 1TB Portable Compact USB 3.0 External Hard Drive with Belt - Black (Electronics)I bought mine from the last batch, which was a lot cheaper: £83 + VAT+ carriage.
The drive is an attractive colour, easy to use, rugged & massive = 250000 songs.
Downside: surface feels slightly oily and collects fingerprints easily.
The other problem is the cable - it has a unique drive connector, different to normal USB 2 connections. Also it comes with 2 USB connectors on the PC end - you have to plug both in to get full power. It took me ages to work that out! Meaning you must lug around the cable or buy a second one.
The instructions are poor and confusing, the software that came on the drive was out of date, so I had to download an update from the website. The Drive has two partitions - 1 for its software, 1 for one's data - again very confusing, at first. The encryption software (Dashboard) is unfriendly - just says you must attach the drive, without explaining why. There's no Help.
The web site was not the greatest, nor is the iomega forum, but at least they have one.
Once it is up and running, it's great; the encryption program is simple but effective.
NB By dividing product by colour, they split the reviews here!

Further to the above, apparently the USB3 connection is a standard design, but is a different design to USB2, which I was not aware of when buying this. That a pain as it is not compatable with USB2 cables.
Furthermore, no one seems to stock a second USB3 cable, not even Iomega.
