Misleading book title,
This review is from: Good Food: Slow-cooking Recipes: Triple-tested Recipes (Paperback)
I too thought that this would be a great book to give me new ideas for my slow cooker, but unfortunately Good Food's idea of slow cooking is not the same as mine! The title is misleading - especially as the title is what put it in with my Amazon recommendations following other purchases. I was very disappointed that these recipes are for a few hours in the oven rather than for a slow cooker.

Derek Jones says:
To be fair, the product description on the Amazon page makes it clear that is is not a book about slow cookers: "There's something special about slow-cooked meals - whether it's the smell of a stew bubbling away on the stove, or the sight of a succulent joint of meat roasting to tender perfection in the oven, they're always well worth the wait." Actually I find that one can usually adjust recipes of this sort to use in slow cookers.

Hello Barbara. Have you seen that there is now a book by the Good Food range for slow cookers - you can pre-order it on Amazon. :)
