Almost great, but not quite,
This review is from: Cell (Hardcover)A decent book. Buy, read and if you're even a little bit of a King fan you'll enjoy it. Two things stop it from being great, first is that it's just to short, there’s about two hundred pages missing from the last third as though the publisher asked for < 450 pages, there is so much more to this story.
Secondly, and the biggest problem is 'The Stand' anyone who has read this tome first has already lived through the end of the world, apocalyptic vision of the demise of society, and you couldn't call that a short book.
No-one does the build up of a group of strangers in to a family of friends as good as King. Then whilst they're all feeling everything’s going to be ok says 'it was the last time they would see one another alive'
If you haven’t read either book read this first then set a few weeks free to read 'The Stand'.
