This review is from: Sony Ericsson Arc S Sim Free Smart Phone - Midnight Blue (Wireless Phone)
I was in my early 20's when mobiles started becoming more main stream (yes, now pushing 40). In those days we got excited about the fact that you could choose up to 5 different ring tones when someone called you. Something like the Xperia Arc S was true science fiction. I now have a device in my pocket which is my (excellent) camera, music player, GPS device (gets a fix in about 5 seconds), movie player, eBook reader, emailer, and Word/Excel editor. And phone. And this doesn't even cover the zillion or so apps out there that do everything from measure your heart rate (via the camera), turn your phone into a torch, and find the nearest free parking space. My one concern is...what on earth will I do if I lose it? Quite extraordinary.

Good review, I had the self same thought as your last sentence. There is so much stored on phones of today, owners do not give a second thought as to the repurcussions if it were to be lost and fell into the wrong hands. Would be a very serious issue.BTW , I am pushing 67. Still love my little toys though, changing smart phones roughly each 6 months or so. So far this is tops of all, easily beating iphone----NO Flash. Try looking at Citroen UK for a new DS3 on an apple device. Internet is so so fast.

I am planning to buy this unit but I want to know first the following:
* - Is it MICROSIM or STANDARD SIM?
* - Is there Many Alarm I can Set Up?
* - Can I put my Music as a Ringing Tone & Message Tone ?
* - Is it Triband or Quadband?
Thank you in advance for your reply! :)

Standard sim. Lots of alarm options, any song you want you can use. No special ring tone needed, menu on bottom, then set as ringtone, dead simple. It is quadband.

BTW, how about the Navigation? Is it working like a Tomtom? :)

I have no idea, never use it. Call me old fashioned but was well trained in use of map reading and following road numbers etc. that is all I ever use, home and abroad. Never once been lost. I lie a little, took wrong turn on way from Paderborn to Berlin. I blame the navigator not following my art-work lol

Eileen E says:
Assume you now have your phone and are using the preloaded navigation app to find your way around UK ok?

Yes! Both for Car , Bus , and Walking ... I did not test using the Plane yet buy it has too ... Also , It is better than ordinary satnav here in UK ... when you arrived in your destination , even the picture of a house will appear on your Arc S ! :)
It has 2 satnav ... one is the Navigation & the other one is Wisepilot ... :)
