Good but not great,
This review is from: Further Pure Mathematics (Paperback)
Many sections are just too brief and do not contain a sufficient number of worked examples; complex and matrix transformations come to mind instantly. I think this is a very good supplementary textbook but, as a standalone for self-teaching, it is not ideal and can often leave you confused. However, it does contain a wealth of questions of varying difficulty.
For the Edexcel syllabus, the Heinemann books are more comprehensive. They still leave a lot to be desired in terms of presentation, but they cover almost the entire syllabus perfectly.
I would recommend you loan this book from a library rather than purchase it as it has limited use. Also check out the Bostock and Chandler books which are excellent.
