You amaze me,I posted a reply to you to try and help but you seem more concerned about packaging and layout. Surely the main issue has to be your interest in the programme, the picture quality of the dvd and am I getting value for my outlay? I would suggest for all 69 episodes the price is amazing, but for your own peace of mind and final clarification why don't you access the Wikipedia site on Columbo and you will see all individual episodes irrespective of seasons, and then you will realise that the last reviewer has indeed done you a service.

Trond Michelsen says:
There is no season 11. As you can see, there's a season 10.2, which includes the episodes some people think belongs to season 11.
This set includes every Columbo episode that's been produced. That's the important part, isn't it?

You are the only person who will admit to having bought this set. At this price that is unusual to say the least. If you read reviews of other Playback boxsets customers have had quite a few issues with them.
At this price why are there not lots of customer singing its praises?

So Playback should call it Seasons 1 to 10.
I am entitled to be interested in anything I choose.

Well, I agree that calling it "seaon 1-11" is strange when the discs are labeled 10.1 and 10.2. However, if you look at the picture of the box, you can see that it is actually called "Columbo - The Complete Series". You can probably blame Amazon for calling it Season 1-11.
That said, I don't recall saying you didn't have the right to be interested in this or any other titles.

T. M. Small says:
According to IMDB and other databases for TV series, there were 11 series/seasons and 8 specials thereafter. I put off purchasing the box set, owing to the contradictions of how many series/seasons it contained, I even contacted 'playback' direct, who indicated a shorter run time for the total complete series on their website, but received no reply. Thankfully someone has listed the contents, so I'll be ordering the repackaged box set for xmas.

P. Kennard says:
One answer for the lack of new sales could be that the previous set has been available, on and off at around £45-£55 for a while (I think I paid £44.97), meaning many of us already own the set and thus have little inclination to re-buy.
A Mr Butin posted a reply to my review stating that he had got a new version and that there is a booklet with it after all (I cannot confirm if it has the same content in it, but the original would be physically too big to fit in the new box). I've asked for some more info and will update my review when I have it.
As for seasons... There doesn't seem to be a definitive answer. While the earlier 'seasons' can be categorised as such quite easily (despite being part of, in the US, a longer run with other mystery series interspersed), there seems to have been an arbitrary decision by Universal Playback to put many of the subsequent one-off specials down as 'seasons', irrespective of what they actually were. The listing elsewhere matches the list for the old box (even down to the odd placing of the pilots) and contains all of the episodes stated to exist.
I wouldn't get hung up on this, all the episodes appear to be present, and largely in the right order.

There is an 8 page booklet with the boxset. It describes the history of the shows, the formula, the supporting cast (the cigar, the car and 'dog'). Mrs Columbo is mentioned and Peter Falk in length. Then there is a season by season description highlighting some of the murders and actors.
