1.0 out of 5 stars Warning: Image is stretched to 16:9, 25 Jan. 2012

Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Murder Rooms - The Mysteries of the Real Sherlock Holmes - The Patient's Eyes, The Photographer's Chair, The Kingdom of Bones & The White Knight Stratagem - Starring Ian Richardson + In the Footsteps of Sherlock Holmes - Patrick Macnee [DVD] (DVD)
I would urge people to stay away from this new box, as the advertised 16:9 image is only the old 4:3 image stretched to fit a 16:9 screen, meaning that everyone looks very short and fat. This set should be recalled and reissued with corrected discs - until this happens I wouldn't recommend anyone purchasing it.

I thought the reviewer might be in error so I've just checked my discs, and it's true; they're stretched 4:3 images and not the aspect ratio in which the show was shot and first broadcast. I'm contacting IMC to find out what's going on.
