I'm really not in the habit of spending my time writing reviews - unless there REALLY is something that needs addressing. In this particular case it's the negative comments made by some of the reviewers targeted at this product. I read them all prior to buying this item and decided that it was a calculated risk based on the positive/negative balance of comments, and I went at it with my fingers crossed.
As it turned out there was no need for finger crossing and I honestly can't see what all the fuss is about.
It took me no time at all to assemble it and the instructions are quite frankly not really needed. Yes, the upright needs a wee bit of packing to keep it from moving slightly and perhaps Dremel need to address this, but honestly chaps, can you not figure this out for yourselves? If this is too difficult for you then perhaps you should take up stamp collecting instead! As for the Spanish bloke, (Tra Tra), who for some bizarre reason felt the need to fill a review page with his own modified instructions . . . . . . Signore, you've got way too much time on your hands!
I make small wooden toys and this has proved to be an excellent addition to my "away from the workshop" tool kit. It does the job for the hobbyist perfectly - and as precisely as I could have wished for.
This IS for the hobbyist remember! If you want something industrial strength go and buy something else more expensive. If you are a hobbyist and you want a decent bit of kit, I for one am happy to recommend this one.
