Mountains of Talent,
This review is from: Personal Mountains (Audio CD)
I have the original CD released early 1990's and was blown away by the improv and melodic development. I have listened hundreds of times, always staggered at the musicianship, tonal control and melodic invention.
Always one for the serious chill out times - can be a bit 'spacy' and 'ethereal'. You can sense the struggles and traumas that are emotionally at the root of the passion within this music.
IIRC, jan Garbarek on alto must put in one of his alltime best performances... inspiring.

Definitely a great recording- though Garbarek is, as usual, on tenor & soprano saxophones- never alto.
