Only OK, nothing special,
This review is from: Remington AC5011 Pearl Pro Ionic AC Hair Dryer (Personal Care)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I've tried this without first using my usual smoothing serum and although this hair dryer is ionic and so is supposed to reduce frizz and flyaway hair, it doesn't actually perform any better than my old, non-ionic Babyliss hair dryer. If anything it's not as good because it takes longer for my hair to dry and the first two heat settings aren't strong enough while the third is so hot that it heated up my earrings in just a few seconds. I've never had to use above a level 1 heat setting in other hair dryers because they've been sufficiently hot enough and because I don't like exposing my hair to too much heat, but the 1st level on this Remington was so cool that I had to just alternate between the 2nd (just warm) and 3rd (blistering hot) settings. But maybe I just have a faulty one.
It looked aesthetically pleasing straight out of the box. It was a very glossy black with a few areas of matt black but I noticed immediately how the glossiness faded after the first use and it's no longer shiny now. It was heavier than other ones I've used, but I used i for 20+ minutes but, surprisingly, my arms didn't feel strained or tired. It's also a little noisier than other hair dryers. It actually sounds similar to an old handheld vacuum cleaner I used to have! However the cold shot is truly cold, so would be great to use if you need to set your hair after styling.
