5.0 out of 5 stars Short and sweet review, 14 Jun. 2012
This review is from: HTC One S Z560E Sim Free Smartphone - Black (Electronics)
Shades it over the One X. Build quality far superior, screen better, quicker processor in real terms (Yep, quad core sounds impressive on paper, not quicker in practice) Storage not an issue, just use cloud, sorted. Galaxy S3 nearest rival to me on paper, in reality it looks (and feels) cheap to the One S. Apple just get you tied up to their apps and their phones are like bricks compared to this beaut, don't believe their hype.

good review, except the tegra three on the one X is inface quicker, it is only slower when it has low battery due to its power saving archetecture. HOWEVER the tegra three guzzles battery life, and so the S4 chip on the one s is probably better in terms of practicality. Also veryt few apps have proper quad core support at the moment.

Thanks. The One S isn't that great on battery life either. I bought an extra plug & usb cable and keep it at work to cover that, just in case. Battery durability (deterioration) could be a worry, as you can't get to the battery to replace it. I've only had the phone a couple of months, so time will tell. Loving the phone so far though.

True. And to be honest, Dropbox 25 gb that comes with the phone is slow and tedious. 16 gb is more than enough for me though. Most of my phone storage is taken up with music files and I don't really like to keep a vast library. I get bored pretty easily and change my music regularly. I only have a couple of hundred tracks on the phone at any one time & transfer any photos to my laptop, so the storage is ample for me.
