Definitely not for oldies and 3D very poor on large screen,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Arthur Christmas (Blu-ray 3D + UV Copy) (Blu-ray)
Purchased 3D version to enjoy on 100" projected screen, however, 3D quality very disappointing with no "Wow" factor whatsoever.
Review of story from an adults point of view: Story is, as others have alluded to, subjective and, like Marmite, you'll love it or hate it: If you are a traditionalist (like us oldies) then the modern take of the traditional storyline will definitely be a "No, No, No". If you are "open-minded" or youngish then it might be a "Ho, Ho, Ho".
If you expect a traditional Aardman creation a la Wallace and Gromit then forget it; This is just another typical commercial stocking filler for the company and a zillion miles away from the "good old days" of truly original plasticine magic.
