Simple yet effective,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Fujifilm FinePix S2980 Digital Camera (14MP, 18x Optical Zoom) 3 inch LCD Screen (Electronics)Firstly, I have to say that this camera had to be replaced after 3 weeks where the first one got stuck in some kind of a "rebooting" loop. However, I was so impressed with the original one, I opted for a replacement rather than a refund. The camera allows a complete novice to take decent photos. The instructions are not too complicated and one doesn't feel intimidated by an avalanche of directions in how to do all the different things. It has a "point and shoot" option where the camera will automatically choose the right setting. One particularly good setting is the "panoramic" one, which takes spectacular photos. All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to other beginners

Bought this last week last week 3/04/2013 from Fuji after reviewing cameras over the Easter weekend , first couple of days testing excellent then as above went into reboot mode, did all the internet searchers to find cure but it has to go back to base. phoned up no problem will send you out another one and prepaid address envelope to return the old one .
Right first think that happens when you get your new camera and turn it on for the first time is the lens extension piece pops out out ( still not sure what it does ) i thought it was to pop off the plastic lens cap in case you forget to take it off as you do the simple ideas are the best.
After taking on the phone and going over the fault the plastic cap has to come off before you you power up but the main problem is the slide on/off switch which i touched when i was taking the camera out of the case starting camera up restricting the pop out bit hence fault .
That's my thoughts anyway whether there right or not i don't know or its something else , in the end i could had had a full refund but as above i chose the same again it is a good camera for the price.
