HP Pavilion dv7,
This review is from: HP Pavilion DV7-4150ea 17" Laptop (Intel Core i5-460M 2.53GHz, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Bluetooth, Windows 7 Home Prem 64-bit) - Brushed Aluminium (Electronics)
Where shall we start? I had been looking for a laptop for ages and that's no exaggeration.
I had my list of features that were a must;
decent Graphics card - I'm no gamer, but with all the advances of the latest applications, off loading to the graphics cards for a faster performance it's a must. At this point if your thinking your not bothered you should be, because IE9 the latest version of Microsoft's web browser supports this very feature and going forward more applications will also - it's a must!!
Hard drive with at least 350GB (7200rpm) - most people have external drives these days so the speed was more important than the size.
Web Cam - Unified communications in the future will be big!
It also needed to look good on the eye, well needn't to say my list of laptops was not very long, for a long time it was really only the Apple Mac Pro, but to be honest there was no way I could justify that spend, shame really, I do like those laptops.
I then came across the HP Pavilion dv7 and it seemed a perfect fit as the price was less than half that of the Apple Mac Pro - bargain. On the note of price I must say Amazon was by far the cheapest place to buy this product, if I had purchased this anywhere else it was ranging from £50 to £100 more expensive.
Also something that is included in this laptop is the fingerprint reader and let me tell you its great if like me you have many passwords for different systems it's one less less password to think about and also the alot quicker and secure to logon to your laptop.
I've had this laptop for about 1 month now and it's great!!!
