Review.
What starts as a lighthearted adventure about the Doctor wanting to return some library books back, Traveling in the Tardis The Doctor & Ace visit the planet Kar-Charrat which houses one of the greatest library's in the universe.

There they meet chief Liberian Elgn & silent cataloguer Prink.

But something sinister is taking place within the library & a enemy from the Doctor's past is about to make themselves known as his oldest & deadliest enemy's The Daleks have returned.

Commanded from Skaro & sending a Dalek fleet lead by the Dalek Supreme to Kar-Charrat, The Dalek Emperor has a devious plan for the library as The Dalek Empire wants to download all knowledge from within the library & use that knowledge as a weapon of power to annihilate other species whom dont bow down to Dalek law & conquer the universe as the superior beings.

Can The Doctor & companion Ace put a stop to the Daleks Masterplan of universal domination & is there more going on at Kar- charrat than The Doctor's letting on? & who's working as a Dalek spy updating events to The Dalek Emperor on Skaro?, The Doctor's in a race against time to solve this mystery of The Genocide Machine & to end the Daleks grand masterplan of Universal Armageddon.

This is a exellent fast paced adventure written by Mick Tucker & Directed by Nick Briggs voice of the Daleks & now Big Finishes executive Producer.

The Daleks make there Big Finish debut in this story & are the best they have ever been in years in this adventure as Big Finish have made the efforts of hiring Mike Tucker to write a story making the Doctors deadliest enemys power crazed, Devious & threatening once again.

The cast do a exellent job all round & the rainforest effects really do enhance the atmosphere to the storys drama.

Sylvester McCoy is on tip top form in this as The Umbrella Man Seventh Doctor who is great at bringing out the light & shade of his Doctor's personality.

Sophie Aldred is exellent as Ace whom gets stuck into the storys action , Her character has gutso & was a prototype for the future character of Rose Tyler later portrayed by Billie Piper.

Great action packed adventure that is well paced full of drama & tension making this Dalek debut a classic adventure.

Tim Bradley says:
This is a really good Dalek story with Seventh Doctor and Ace, and very well reviewed by you Timelord.
I found the atmosphere for this story very engaging and enjoyed listening to the characters when interacting with each other.
Ace's Dalek duplicate is very chilling to listen to and Sophie Aldred pulls it off pretty well.
A brillaint story written by former effects man Mike Tucker. He knows the Doctor and Ace inside out. Tim.

Love the sound design in episode two when the Doctor and Ace have to dive into undergrowth as a dalek battle cruiser passes overhead. It really makes you feel as if there's a spaceship right above you.
