3.0 out of 5 stars An interesting piece... but the case would be thrown out, 19 Sep 2004
This review is from: The Bible Fraud: An Untold Story of Jesus Christ (Paperback)
There are many books that eruditely and eloquently present their case for the deceiptful and corrupt origins of the bible - this is not one of them, and that is a shame.
The book does contain many interesting theories, such as the one about Jesus Christ's twin brother, the subsequent confusion between the two and the family's flight to Britain and Europe, however, the writer's style is less than convincing. Much of the analysis and conclusions are tenuous to say the least, and his flip-flopping between the 'twins' creates a highly convoluted work.
If you are looking for yet another theory on the life and times of Jesus, then this book is worth a read, but not worth much more - and definitely not worth the twenty odd pounds I paid for it. The book is called 'The Bible Fraud', but after having read this book and the bible I was unsure as to which book conned me the most. As is often the case with such books, I feel the most useful section is the references as they can provide useful sources for future reading. I would recommend this to an enthusiast or specialist on the subject who might conduct further research on the theories presented here, and produce a more reader-friendly and cogent analysis. An interesting read but very poorly presented.

This is a well written review that eloquently captures what I felt about reading the first fifty or so pages of the Bible Fraud. I gave up trying to read it in the end.
