Good price and it lets me use an Eye-Fi card with my Nikon D300 SLR,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: SD Card to CompactFlash Card Adaptor (Electronics)
I bought an Eye-Fi Connect X2 4GB Wireless SDHC Memory Card for use with a Lumix digital camera I own but I was frustrated that it wouldn't work with my Compactflash-only Nikon D300 SLR.
I bought this adaptor speculatively for use with the Eye-Fi card in my D300 but also to make use of cheaper SD media in the D300.
I was worried that the typical metallic front and back panels on a CompactFlash adaptor would block the wifi signal from the Eye-Fi card. In practice, the wireless range is less than when it is used outside of the adaptor but I can still take photos 10 metres or more away from my wireless router or iPad (when out and about) and have the pictures transmitted back to base.
When used with standard SDHC cards there are no observable performance problems.
So all in all, a good purchase.

Thanks. I'm an lx5 owner also wanting to make use of this in my d300 on my iPad2. This helps my decision greatly...

Have you bought in the end?
I did buy the Extreme CF adaptor for the eye-fi 4gb connect x2 and it doesn't work.
The wi-fi doesn't show on the iPad and when it shows does not connect.
If this adaptor works with the D300 properly would make my decision.
