3.0 out of 5 stars 3D not good, 20 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - Extended Edition [Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray] [2012] [Region Free] (Blu-ray)
love the film but the 3D is terrible, in battle scene's and any fast movement at all its just a blur..been reading online that it's to do with the film being shot at 48 frames per second..but nobody told me it would be impossible to watch... so when do i get my refund??

The 3D is amazing! You just don't appreciate 3D like me ( I have bought 14 blu ray 3D movies in 6 months,)

Hi, thanks for the Desolation of Smaug review. I'm about to order it. I wasn't so sure the first Hobbit film was much good in 3D. I'm a big 3D fan though, some films I would only watch 3D are"Ironman 3, Avengers Assemble, Pacific Rim, Superman, RIPD 3D, Star Trek into Darkness, Transformers Dark of the Moon, Jack and Jill" What have you seen in 3D?

hi t lord again, you said you thought the first hobbit film did not look to well in 3D, was wondering in what way do you mean. like was it in fast moving scenes that it looked blurred or something else, or just overall it didn't look good.. in my case the battle scenes were terrible, all blurred and on watchable as a matter of fact any quick movement at all was bad..good job it included a 2D version

Hi William, I'm going to try & watch it in 3d tonight I'll let you know more accurately. It's months since I watched it in 3d, but I seem to remember it was just that there was no depth or anything projecting from the screen. Films like Avengers assemble, Star Trek into Darkness and Pacific Rim are brilliant in 3d.
