VOTE WITH YOUR FEET,
This review is from: South Park - Season 14 [DVD] (DVD)
I'd normally hesitate to review a product I don't own but looking at the blurb for this makes my blood boil. "The Complete 14th Season"..."All 12 Episodes...".
There are 14 episodes of this season. Not 12. 14.
I love South Park and have bought each season without exception. How do Comedy Central/Paramount reward the loyalty of South Park fans? By censoring the show itself and marketing it as if we'll somehow forget that they're too afraid to release two episodes that, in the grand scheme of things, were actually quite tame. This is disgraceful and especially ironic considering the concept of those two missing episodes.
This is the 21st century and it's frankly ridiculous that this is happening. Don't buy this and maybe they'll release this properly.

Firstly; this is a review of the REGION 2 DVD of South Park Season 14. Irrespective of whether the episodes are available in a different country, they're not on this release so your comments are irrelevant. Secondly; Paramount/Comedy Central have made an extremely bad decision so why should I line their pockets by importing the release from another country? I'm using my head to determine that hitting their profits is the best of way of stopping this debacle happening in the future. Thirdly; this is genuinely false advertising. How can this be promoted as the complete season 14, if it's not? It's not moaning like children to point out something that could actually be illegal. Oh, and finally; Family Guy isn't even that funny.

Apart from you being unnecessarily abusive your comment doesn't help at all. If you read the comments on the US site of amazon.com on the dvd box set of South Park season 14 you'd find out that the US version is heavily censored and therefore also a 'no-buy' for the serious South Park fan.

I have just bought this and agree with the original review. It is bad enough that episodes 5 and 6 are missing, but it's even worse that they don't make this clear. The packing has "THE COMPLETE FOURTEENTH SEASON" written on it in several places and on the back it says "All episodes from South Park's notorious 14th season...". Both of these statements are outright LIES. All they do is put a small sticker on the cellophane wrapping that says "The Complete International Broadcast Version" (like we are supposed to know exactly what that means). It is only clear that those two episodes are omitted when you look at the actual episode listing inside. I know that all this is probably down to Comedy Central rather than Matt & Trey themselves, but I think that Matt & Trey should have put their foot down (or should that be "feet"?).

Richard W, I understand your unimpressed with the Region 2 release of South Park - Season 14. However after reading so many negative reviews about the UK version, I decided to purchase the Region 1 US version, and it's great. Believe me it's not heavily censored, unless you consider censoring the prophet's face and body (I won't say his name). At least you get the full episodes, but just barely censored, unlike the Region 2 release when Paramount have just been very lazy and completely not bothered with adding even parts of the episode in the boxset. It's better having some parts of the episode than none at all, that's all i'm saying. It's up to you.

I'm furious about this. These DVDs are collector's sets. How are we supposed to collect them when episodes have been removed because Paramount backed down not to Muslim extremists, but to Tom Cruise? All Matt and Trey implied in those episodes was that he was completely unable to take a joke, and he proceeded to prove them correct in the way that only a stuck-up egomaniac like him can. Jesus, the guy claims he doesn't care what people are saying about him! It's also an outrage that they covered the case with lies about it being the "complete fourteenth season" with "all epsiodes"; I'm fairly sure that's illegal.

the thing is those episodes are specials as they are the 200th episode and made so alot of previous characters and plots interact in a 2 part celebration of southparks work.. plus when you watch ep 7, we see tom cruise on the moon!!. totally amazed this has happened
