What to do with all those fat quarters in your stash,
This review is from: Fast Quilts from Fat Quarters (Paperback)
The author very cleverly shows a method of cutting up fat quarters so as to waste as little fabric as possible. It looks a bit complicated at first glance, but all will soon become clear with a little concentration, particularly once the order in which the pieces are cut is understood. Cotton fabric which is suitable for patchworking and quilting is now getting extremely expensive and this book is excellent for ensuring that we get the best value from our fabric investments by using up every last scrap. However, in cases where fabric motifs need to be centred or matched, the method may not work, but the book is, nevertheless, full of very inspiring patterns for quite spectacular quilts, even if the fabric has to be cut in the conventional way. A very worthwhile addition to any quilter's bookshelf.
