A delightfull book- even if there is a bit of a bias towards the English architects- for instance, no mention of Barcelona's Torres tower- [it predates the London 'gurkin' and is in my view a worthy contender! Nevertheless, a great book. P.F.

You're right, Barcelona's Torres tower should be featured in the book, but for arguments sake the Gherkin was actually built BEFORE it. The Gherkin opened to the public one year earlier than Barcelona's similarly phallic construction.
