200 pages too long!!,
This review is from: The Memory Keeper's Daughter (Paperback)
I dont start anything i cant finish..... how sad i felt 100 pages into this book when i had to follow this statement through! Premise off the book seemed appealing... reading at least 2books per week i was actualy looking forward to this read! 400 pages later, lots of skimming whole paragraphs and in the end total dispair at all characters.... i can honestly say ive never been as relieved to finish a book in my life!!!!! Why describe a bunch of flowers or the lighting in a room in a few sentences... when you can use whole paragraphs.... whole mind numbling boring paragraphs that caused me to grip the book that extra bit tighter.... only to stop me lobbing it accross the room!!!! Ive learnt more about the geography of America than I have about any of the characters! What could have been a great story was stretched at least 100pages too much! Please... if you think your reading a book that deals with a controversial storyline, thats tugs at the heart strings and has you searching your soul for questions of 'What if?'... then Im pretty sure any teenage angst novel would qualify sooooo much more!!!!
(Ive never felt the need to review any book before.... please save yourselves... its too late for me!!)
