This review is from: Fellowes Smart Suites Laptop Riser with USB Hub (8020201) (Office Product)
after much deliberation as i have a 17" laptop by HP/Compaq, i.e. the bottom is curved not flat i decided to spend a little extra and choose this one to make sure it would hold the laptop in place. wow am i glad i chose it! this is a quality item, very strong and holds my awkward edged lol 17" laptop perfectly in place i doubt a brick could budge it ( i have the compaq prescario cq70). there is a nice gap underneath to tuck wires away and you even get two, yes two! 4 port usb hubs at the back where i can plug my wireless keyboard and mouse stick into and it is out of sight. to top it all off there is a nice little tray at the front to put a notebook or phone on, what else could you ask for? i must admit it actually looks pretty slick on my desk. for the money this is a quality item and probably one of the best stands out there.
the one downside?
i am about 6 foot, if you are any shorter than this, be warned, this stand is probably too small for you, even without the legs they give you to raise it the lowest height is pretty high up (i don't even need the legs to raise it the lowest is more than enough height for me), and you cannot change the angle it is fixed (although the pre fixed angle is perfect, can't imagine why anyone would want to change it especially as the key board is reduntant anyway) only the height of the base can be changed. but then if you are shorter than that you shouldn't need a riser lol, for me just absolutely perfect when i think of the nightmare of using those open fronted risers where my laptop would keep slipping off!
hope that helps
