It is always difficult to make comparisons, however I feel that this is the better of the two in terms of what was happening in the Discos in the UK. Who can ever forget the pulsating start of the Jacksons 'Can you feel it' as it builds and how much in the mood for dancing it made you feel. Many Disco DJ's of the time began to introduce Funky Music as well and the early 'Classic' from James Brown was to influence many other bands and artists as they developed their own cross over sound like T. Connection and Brass Construction. Disco music continued to fragment and this is covered by the Average White Band Track through to the 'Poppy' based sound of 'More More More' by Andrea True Connection. The 70's was indeed a period in our culture where there was so much diversity and this is why this album hits the spot for me. You get the usual 'fillers' like Carl Douglas, Village People and Boney M tracks but looking back it all formed part of our history and we can all be excused for dancing to these songs now that most of us, who where part of the scene, hit our 50's and even our 60's. One for young or old alike and a timeless collection of such great music and happy days!!!!
