A very clever ending,
This review is from: Gone Girl (Paperback)
I am one of the seven people on the planet that don't like reading thrillers and I only read this because my wife got hooked on it an assured me it was worth reading with lots of twists. There certainly is a very clever twist at the end ... there was no ending. Who would have guessed that?
There is one big twist half way which led me to believe the story is set in a U.S. State where the closest thing the police have to forensic science is a pair of tweezers. I realise after O.J. Simpson (mentioned in the book) there are States in the U.S. where the police aren't up to much but this really does push credibility to the limit.
I also thought the quality of the writing was very poor though maybe that is because I am not used to reading thrillers.
