4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable music, shoddy packaging, 10 July 2001
This review is from: Pre-Flyte (Audio CD)
Well, it's nice to have it available again, but if only it had been done to the standard of the Sony Byrds remasters, with a FULL set of pre-Columbia tracks (Beefeaters, Jet Set), contemporay pictures, good sleeve notes, etc.
Alan McGhee seems far more intent on selling it to the bandwagon jumpers, with its anachronistic "Austin Powers"-style 'groovy' paisley packaging, a la the overrated Cosmic Roughriders (and does *anybody* think that cardboard 'digipacks' are a good idea? Ugh!)
Still, just enjoy the music...

Yes, if I could transform all my albums into digipacks, I wouldn't hesitate, provided that they were made to Japanese standard. Plastic cases are terrible!
