This review is from: Multidimensional Man (Paperback)
I only read half of this book before giving up. I was looking for some practical methods on how to experience OBEs and some insights into the other dimensions the author supposedly visits. Instead I got a fairly boring account of his dreams/OBEs. I also have to say that having read about his OBEs I am not convinced that they are genuine out of body experiences; they sound a lot more like lucid dreams to me. The author does state in the book that he thinks that OBEs and Lucid dreams are the same thing; I disagree. If this was clear from the cover I would never have bought this book. If you enjoy listening to other people tell you about their very 'interesting' dreams, then you may find this book enjoyable. If you're looking to learn something new, try something different. I recommend Robert Monroe's Journeys out of the body.

Emir Aric says:
Lucid dreams and OBE's are not technically the same in definition, but closely related. Lucid dreams are an access point to the astral and for most it is much easier than a direct split from the body. From what he describes it is most certain they are OBE's and not just elaborate dreams.

I agree with Rihan. Lucid dreams and AP are close cousins...they mainly differ in being 2 ways to the same destination. When one is concious and the body asleep the conciousness is in its own world of the astral. When lucidity is mastered then the mind can drop down a notch to the etheric plane and move about at will in what seems like the physical world. This is what the astral projector does. To consciously project is a great achievement but the wondrous sensation of lucid dreaming is the same and what can be achieved is the same. To be awake in the astral and to have an understanding of "magick"....then the world is your oyster!!
