This review is from: Hope and Adams (Audio CD)
I bought this album when it first came out and didn't think much of it. As with many other albums, you need to give it a few more listens - but this album seems to get worse for me. Most of the songs are tuneless,boring,non-directional,demo-sounding with no memorable melodies. Some tracks seem to start promising, but quickly drift off. But "Dont I Hold You" is a brilliant song and is the selling point for the album.
I own hundreds of rock albums, many that a casual listener would describe as depressing/boring. But I've never been compelled to leave a negative review of any album.
