I go to the Cotswolds at least once a year - even twice if I'm lucky - and I never get bored of visiting these beautiful areas. I'm glad I got this guidebook as it's comprehensive and introduces the region, the villages, the must-see locations etc. very well. Obviously the author is very knowledgeable about these areas, and I'm grateful that she decided to write about these special areas of England. The book contains illustrations of the famous items in each village, and small maps included are very helpful too. Explanations are clear and concise, and the book itself is not heavy in your rucksack or a handbag, so I can recommend it to anyone who'd like to visit the Cotswolds whether you're a first-time visitor or a frequent one.
The first few pages show a number of beautiful colour photos, which are very nice, but if I can make a small request for the next edition, I'd like to see a few more colour photos inside the pages, ideally one for each village or region. It doesn't matter if the photos were professionally taken or not, but they'd expand our joy of planning before travelling.
If you haven't got any Cotswolds guidebook yet, consider getting this one!
Enjoy your break over there!
