This review is from: KitchenAid Artisan 5KES100BER Espresso Maker Red (Kitchen & Home)
I have owned the Kitchenaid Espresso machine since 2007 and whilst the first unit glugged up after a year the replacement which arrived promptly no questions asked (how many manufacturers do this?) it has been working perfectly for over 2 years. It has enough pressure to make a very strong espresso with fine ground just above what a commercial espresso machine can handle. I use it with a Gaggia MDF grinder set to 3 (1 being the finest size). After making coffee I recommend running water through the head and frother making sure that there is nothing blocking the outlets.
I would recommend this unit in the knowledge that Kitchenaid don't fool around with parts/repair and give you a new unit if it does fail.

Mr Patel - that it failed is perhaps a clue to the future. Is it not a little generous to award five stars to something that within 12 months has to be replaced?
