As expected, a great book!,
This review is from: Alan Titchmarsh How to Garden: Small Trees (Paperback)I became a fan of Alan Titchmarsh when I read one of his books, "How to be a Gardener" and he hasn't disappointed me ever since! His books are aimed at the enthusiastic but clueless gardener who would like not only an introduction but also a book he or she can refer to later again, and this ticks all the boxes. It gives you an overview over the different tree types, things to consider before planting, where and how to plant them (in a container or directly into the earth), pruning...everything one can think of!
There are lots of pictures to show you how it's done and the descriptions are very clear. This is a book one can refer to again and again and that is equally useful for the beginner as well as the advanced gardener.
Buy this before you consider to plant any small tree, it will save you lots of work and hassle!
