2.0 out of 5 stars RUBBISH!!!, 4 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Generation Freakshow (Audio CD)
Am a very very big fan off Feeder and have all there CD's but to me this as got to be most rubbish CD they have every made!!! I only like one song from this CD and that is Borders. Feeders CD called "Silent Cry" is 100 times better then this and i love all the songs on that CD. Love all Feeders old songs they have made to!

Feeder as gone down hill a little.

To me am very disappointed. :-(

This album is what Silent Cry should have been. They have a very similar feel to them and I think if you placed any song from this album on Silent Cry you wouldn't realise it was out of place. Generation Freakshow just goes one step further with Silent Cry and improves on it dramatically. There's more melody, the lyrics are better thought out, more catchy rifts and chorus's you can really sing along with. Most of all it's more fun. While I do love Silent Cry it is rather darker and more serious than necessary.

Silent Cry was fantastic and easily up there with their best work. I do not agree that Generation Freakshow is better, actually feel its their weakest album to date. Its more similar in style and pace to Swim and Polythene but lacks the emotion and doesn't really reflect the angst and atmosphere of these time (rioting, police state, world at war etc..) which is what I feel Feeder are trying to do. They seem to have lost the aggression and spirit they had back then and so I'm hoping they will try to tread new ground with their next offering. Saying that Renegades was great, saw them play it live and they're still one of the top bands around. I'll always have them as one of my all time favorites.

I stopped caring about Feeder after Yesterday Went Too Soon, but I've given everything they've done since a cursory listen and this is the closest they've come to equalling that album's quality. Two stars is head mental, it's a definite four.

You're insane Robert, just given you a "No" saying your review was not helpful. bringing it up to 1/12. Also be constructive and don't post things like "RUBBISH!" as the title of your review.
