While I applaud Yahtzee for writing this book, it didn't quite do it for me. In trying to describe certain tropes in an abstract way, I found a lot of text to be confusing. That may be my own failing.
There were parts of the book that I genuinely enjoyed, when the story was pulled out of the fantasy and back to reality for a few pages. I found myself flicking ahead to see how much more I needed to read to get to some more "real world" banter.
I'm a slow reader, and have had this book since launch. I pre-ordered it being a huge zp fan, but the fact it's taken me 9 months to actually finish (and the fact I digested many other books instead during that time) kind of tells me it didn't grip my imagination.
