Interesting but complex,
This review is from: Modern Analysis of Customer Surveys: with Applications Using R (Statistics in Practice) (Hardcover)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)As a market researcher I deal with analysing customer surveys day in day out. Reading the blurb for this book I thought it would really help me move my analysis and reports to the next level. Mathematics is not a subject I struggle with, being quite strong with numbers naturally, but I did find that there was no learning curve with this one. It just throws you in at the deep end, making it quite sink or swim.
I eventually got my head around the explanations and found the book quite useful but it is not reader friendly for those who don't have a very solid grounding in mathematics.
The level of explanation of best practice such as ISO and SERVQUAL, while useful, felt a bit like filler put in to make the book look more impressive on the book shelf rather than to help the reader use R. Oddly, for a book whose title states "using R" there was surprisingly little mention of R in the text itself.
