What promising first novel? It's not PS I love you,

This review is from: PS, I Love You (Paperback)
Having read a few reviews of this book and heard one on the radio, I looked forward to reading my copy. It was a disappointment from start to finish. The widow finding it hard to cope was real enough but a dead husband telling his wife what to do, where to go out for the night, the clothes to buy and places to go on holiday. One brother filming the drunken women without them realising or even having a clue? Another brother hiding his secret gardening? I could go on and on (and on). Just too far fetched for me. Maybe this is a book for 16-30 year olds. It is definitely not for this middle-aged woman.
