The V-cube 7 is the world's largest puzzle cube to date. Despite the postulation that no cube larger than five layers could ever be achieved, the V-Cube 7 is not only a reality but is also considerably more reliable than the Rubik's Cube 5 x 5.
Apart from the odd, expected, popping of the centre facet pieces, the V-7 is stable enough to speed solve, and rarely locks up (as opposed to the 6x6x6 Cube). The layers are easy to turn and its pillowed construction makes it fit snugly into your hands. The total number of permutations of the cube is 1.95x10^160. The number of atoms in the observable universe is estimated to be around 10^80. A mere sum when compared to this staggeringly versatile puzzle.
Whether it is the sturdy mechanism, the surprisingly small cubelets or the beautiful simplicity of its design, the V-Cube 7 will never cease to surprise. Five stars and a definite recommendation from yours truly.
