An enjoyable read based on historical events but I would advise any prospective reader not to take the author's account as Gospel. There are a number of historical inaccuracies especially regarding Richard, Duke of York, most notably that he persuaded Parliament to nominate him heir to the throne in the event of Henry VI's inability to produce a male heir, a proposal that was dismissed out of hand by parliamentarians at the time. So yes, read and enjoy the book but do some historical research afterwards especially about William de la Pole and the Jack Cade rebellion. I am looking forward to further 'Wars of the Roses' novels by the author.
