This review is from: MathsTutor: GCSE DVD-ROM Tutorials and Exam Practice Pack - Higher Level (Paperback)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This pack contains exactly the same MathsTutor disc that can be bought separately (see review for MathsTutor: GCSE Maths Tutorials DVD-ROM, Higher Level), but with the addition of a 95 page exam question book, the layout of which mimics actual GCSE papers. All of the example questions on the disc are included, so once the practice question is completed the student can refer to the disc for the answer and explanation.
The extra £2-£3 the pack costs, compared with the disc alone, is probably worth paying just to have the question printed out so that it can be worked on with pen and paper - thus more closely mimicking the exam itself.
Personally I would separate the two, giving the student the disc alone in Year 9 or 10, and holding the question book back until revision starts in Year 11 - but that is a matter of choice.
As with the disc alone I unreservedly recommend this pack.
