2.0 out of 5 stars The making of the P.T., 24 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Periodic Table: A Very Short Introduction (Very Short Introductions) (Paperback)
One would expect under such a title that this book would mainly focus on the description and the chemical and quantic explanation of the elements periodic table. But that doesn`'t happen:the author limits himself to some anecdoctal stories about the origins of the periodical table. It's much more "the making of" than "the real thing"

It's maybe worth pointing out that there is another book in the same series called The Elements, which tackles these very topics. I can see therefore why this book focused on the periodic table as a concept, and not on each of the individual elements from which it's made.
