I think the main problem with this book for me wasn't the book itself, but the rave reviews I had read beforehand. My expectations were probably too high, and so I was slightly disappointed to find that it was fairly good, but not brilliant. Certainly not 5 star material in my opinion.
However, that's not to say that I didn't enjoy it, because I did. It was relatively short and easy to read, and had an interesting take on the stalker v. stalked dynamic. I thought that in some ways the main characters, Alex and Siobhan, could have been easier to empathise with, but their irrational actions were for the most part believable and rather worrying (which shows the skills of the writers).
I think I had less sympathy for their situation than I was perhaps supposed to, and at various points I just wanted to bash their heads together. But the tension and edginess of the story is what made me give it 4 stars, and if you like fairly easy, light thrillers then you'll enjoy this one.
