Bright Eyes rehash,
This review is from: A Songwriter's Tale (Audio CD)
If I weren't such a big Mike Batt fan I'd give this recording 0 stars as all it is is a rehash of his 2006 recording Bright Eyes with 2 new tracks on. However ther arrangements have been slightly altered and polished and there is more piano from Batt and what saves this recording from being banal is Ride to Agadir and the Katie Melua track included. Only for die hard fans. Please now re-release The hunting of the Snark and Watership Down soundtrack.

If you go to Mike's official web site you'll see that most of his albums, including Caravans and the Hunting of the Snark are about to be re-released (March - May 2008)

R.A. Cross is correct. A few of Mike's albums have been re-released with more to be released soon. If you were refering to the Watership Down TV series soundtrack, hopefully 'fingers crossed' this will be re-released. The rights to the album was given to Universal/Polydor, but I think since then Mike may have re-aquired the rights to the soundtrack. I'm hoping the same can be said over The Dreamstone soundtrack too. However if you were refering to the 1978 film soundtrack, then I'm afraid Mike has no authority over the distribution of that soundtrack over all, as he only wrote Bright Eyes for it. The majority of the soundtrack was done by Angela Morley and will no doubt be under a different distributor, and so it would be up to the soundtrack's current distributor, wearever or not to re-release the film soundtrack. Perhaps with high enough fan demand it will.
