Double Wii Remote Charging Station,
This review is from: AmazonBasics Dual Charge Station for Nintendo Wii White (Accessory)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This Amazon branded product is a good addition to your Wii accessories, if you find yourself eating through batteries.
The pack consists of:
Two battery packs
The charging station connects to the USB socket on the back of the wii. The two battery packs fit very tightly into the back of two remotes.
Placing the remotes on the cradle of the charger charges them up. It glows blue when charging and green when done. The instructions suggested it could take up to five hours to charge, but ours took under two to charge from scratch. The advice on the pack is to remove them from the cradle when charged. It's not clear if this is for environmental, safety or other reasons, but it does mean it is unwise to charge overnight.
The up side of all this is that you won't need batteries any more, and over time you will save money because of this. The down side is you will have to remove the protective rubber covers from your remotes to charge them up. But there's no way of getting round that, and you'd be doing that to change batteries anyway.
So long as the battery packs hold their charge long term, this will be a worthwhile accessory for the wii. And they make them in black too.
