Introduction to Security Studies for IR theorists,
This review is from: Security Studies: An Introduction (Paperback)
I bought this book as an International Security student to brush up on my International Relations theoretical frameworks. The first part of the book is good for this, but I imagine any basic IR introduction would have done just as well (and been cheaper). As far as Security goes it is extremely basic - very little of substance that you couldn't get from just reading a newspaper occasionally, and at times pure waffle. Good enough, I suppose, if you're an IR undergrad doing a Security module but totally inadequate for any deeper study.
