A strong RPG,
This review is from: Two Worlds II (PS3) (Video Game)
I love RPGs, especially the highly renouned Oblivion. When I bought this game, I was looing for something similar that would tide me over until Skyrim came out and don't get me wrong this is a good game. It has a HUGE map area (and I haven't used the online capability but I'm sure this adds to it), the customisation of your armour and weaponry is also vast, as well as the creation of items.
Unfortunately I have more negative things to pick up on that positive but I will try and do so as objectively as I can. Whilst the crafting system is vast, it is quite complex and is not organised in a way that makes it seamless. The graphics can be very glitchy and in some cut scenes, the characters cut the sentences short. This takes away the immersion of the story line and also makes it hard to follow. The voice acting is also a little questionable...
For these reasons, I put the game down and haven't quite brought myself to pick it up again. Unfortunately with the arrival of Skyrim drawing closer, I find it increasingly unlikely. I will say however, that I think my love for Oblivion has somewhat pejudiced my opinion of this game as it comes nowhere close to that standard. For that reason I have given the game 4 stars as it IS a good stand alone game.
