Sucks you into the story like never before!,
This review is from: The Feud (Paperback)I was given Born Evil to read by a friend and loved it. I was hooked from the start. I then read The Betrayer which was another good twist-turner and Billie-Jo which was also good but I have to say my favourite book so far was The Feud. I finished it in 4 days and got totally sucked into the story and felt like I was actually in the story as a bystander.
Kimberley Chambers sets the scenes perfectly which made my imagination go into overdrive and I found it very difficult to put this book down, I just wanted to keep reading. I had to give up when my eyes couldnt stay open through tiredness but everywhere I went, so did this book for the off-chance that I could snatch a read at a page or two.
Big twists at the end and an explosive ending. Halfway through the book I thought I could guess the ending but I didn't.
I agree with one of the other reviewers that the grammer could have been better but maybe this just adds to the characters and their backgrounds.
Im a big fan of Mandasue Heller and havent had a chance to read any Martina Cole, Dreda Say Mitchell, June Hampson etc but I would recommend Kimberley Chambers to anyone who likes this type of gritty, fast-paced East End/Essex novels.
Top Author. Top Novels. Deffinate Recommendation!!!
