Good design but unreliable/unstable wifi coverage,
This review is from: Belkin N600 Universal Dual Band Wi-Fi Range Extender/Wireless Signal Booster (Easy Setup, WPS Function, 4 Ethernet Ports) - Stand Alone (Personal Computers)
I have set up this wifi extender at home to reach the outer most edges of the house. While the design looks great, it doesn't perform well.
I have tried:
(1) Pairing it up with Virgin Media Superhub.
(2) Pairing it up with Linksys Router.
I also used various devices to connect to it and tested it out. I have used
(1) Android phone
(2) Windows Phone 8
(3) BlackBerry PlayBook tablet
(4) HP laptop running Ubuntu/Windows 7
(5) MacBook Air running MacOS X
(6) Fujitsu laptop running Ubuntu/Windows 7
But the connection is patchy at the best. I have thoroughly tested this extender, and I would like to strongly discourage you from buying this product. (And yes, you guessed right I work in IT.)

just bought one today - wish I had read your review. Yes rubbish - I can't find any improvement in coverage compared to my original Belkin AC1200 router. I will keep trying a little longer but the setup procedure looks like it was a success but the end result - rubbish. I also work in IT

Totally agree. Awful product. Offering no benefit to my existing wireless network. Slow page delivery, Apple devices would only connect given static IPs. I work in IT too.

The wifi extender was simple to setup and connected with laptop and tablet and iPhone. I tested the range by simply walking away from the house until I lost the signal which I estimated at 20 metres. I no longer have blind spots in the house and was able to stream music to a Sonos speaker in my garage workshop and have had no issues with the product.

(4) Roku TV Streaming stick
(5) Android phone
I paired it easily with a talktalk router. Giving much improved Wi-Fi signals throughout home and garden, I gave this device a rating of 5 stars!
(And no, I don't work in IT.)
